She was my first love
I saw no faults within her soul so
I locked my heart
To everyone but her.

She was my first love
Petite - Beautiful and Short - Did I mention blonde?
I remember how great our conversations were
How great the days together were
Till I kicked her out of my heart.

Then it was only lonely nights
In deep conversations with myself
Perfect, she was - I would repeat
How I wasn’t made to love
I wasn’t made to be heartbroken someday
That was for the best.

She was my first love and now,
Now! she’s with someone else
Someone who isn’t scared to love
Someone who would be alright with a broken heart
Someone who wouldn’t appreciate her
As much as I did.

Can I tell you something?
The day I lost her, I gave no notice
I said no goodbyes
I gave no kiss nor felt her tongue
I packed up and left.

She was my first love
Lost now to a man who’s not lost.
